MIG/TIG Welder

Our company is looking for a highly talented Mig & Tig Welder to join our team. To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery and equipment. Duties include: 

· Interact with the customer to ensure clarity on the scope of the job, materials to be used, complexity of job, and performance measures to be achieved

· Read blueprints, quote job prices to customers, write up work orders

· Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions

· Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors.

· Determine need for supplies and sequence of operations required for daily work  

· Responsible for the supply chain through the completion of the job and delivery to the customer. 

· Responsible for ensuring that the highest safety standards are maintained

· Meet the performance levels of the productivity goals and maintain acceptable service levels based on set company standards

· Troubleshoot problems/issues, develop, recommend, and initiate action steps that provide resolution to achieve positive results

· Continually inspect, maintain, and repair shop equipment General shop clean up

· Keep daily time sheets 

Manufacturing Skills:

· Knowledge of and experience in every aspect of the welding process

· Ability to read blueprints and quote jobs

· Ability to communicate clearly with both employees and customers 

· Knowledge of production processes and flow of product

· Ability to read and use blueprints drawings, schematics, dial-calipers, digital-calipers, height gauges, micro-height gauge, finish gauges, mills & lathe, impacts, torque wrenches, everyday shop tools

· Perform basic mathematical calculations

· Must be able to become forklift certified

Professionalism/Work habits: 

· Willingness to fill in on jobs when needed

· Provide quality assurance and take ownership for jobs completed

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to multi-task

· Good decision-making skills, confidence and ability to think on the fly

· Conflict resolution and problem-solving experience

· Must be able to be effective in a fast-paced environment
